it would be great if we could add points to an existing path
I often lay out a path, and then when I zoom in to make it a bit more accurate, realize there is an extra turn in the road that I missed. I need to remap the whole route if I want to add one point or turn.

Have a "trace route back to starting point" feature
Some people run from point A to point B and then back again, along the same path.
For these situations, it is extremely hard, if not impossible, to adequately map out the route in the current creator tool. The first set of points, from A to B, interfere with the… more

Provide a password recovery mechanism
Need to provide a fairly secure password recovery mechanism based on user's email address.
See what ideas are being used. Examples:
1) Secret - not ideal.
2) Message sent to user's e-mail allowing them to click on a "secret" URL that will reset their password to one provided at the… moreStatus: planned -

Display mile and/or kilometer markers along the route.
When viewing a route it would be great to have mile and/or kilometer markers displayed automatically to give you a better idea of how far you've gone while you're running.

Allow routes to have laps/loops
In actual use cases it was noted that some users were creating routes with multiple laps by manually creating the loops by clicking around multiple times.
Should provide two features:
1) Close a loop: Connects the last existing point with the first.
2) Then when this is activated(? may not… moreStatus: planned -

snap route to road
Sometimes we just follow the existing roads so a *great* feature would be to get something like google directions where we can just place some places where we passed through and then have the rest of the path snap to the roads between them.
Of course there would be errors… moreStatus: planned -

Show yearly/monthly/weekly stats for the training log
In the training log, only stats for the current year/month/week are shown. Should provide a section/page where stats can be viewed for a *particular* year/month/week.
This way, users will have a better idea of how they are progressing as they can compare on a week-by-week or month-by-month basis.
Status: plannedShould also show a graph so users can visualize the progression.

Allow log entries to have laps
Example: A outdoor running track route. When adding entries to the log, I'd rather specify X number of laps rather than a) manually multiplying out the true distance or b) adding multiple log entries for one run.

Provide embeddable widgets to show running routes
Widgets would allow running routes to be displayed on any website and provide a link back to RunTrackr for more details.

Provide Facebook App
Similar to embeddable widgets, idea is to allow users to share their running routes with others in a context beyond just the RunTrackr site.

Create your own training program / planner
It would be nice if you could create a training program and the goal you wish to achieve,
So for example either capture the daily, weekly or monthly distance you wish to run and then compare that against what you have actually run. Can also include some simple but cleaver… more -

Create and add categorys to a run
The idea here is that users can create categories for their runs and select them when making a log entry. So for example I may have Road Race, Hill Training, Time Trials, Base Training etc…

Show nearby routes when viewing a running route
When viewing a single route, show other running routes that are geographically close to that one so that users can more easily find what they're interested in.

Feedback forum doesn't work
I can't leave comments. No matter how many times I successfully log in and UserVoice says I am logged in, when I'm viewing a post it says I must log in before commenting.
